As former Chairman and CEO of TD Bank Financial Group, his leadership skills are renowned and have brought wide success to himself and notable successes to the company. Charles Baillie is also a strong public supporter of postsecondary education and has made his views clear on the need for our society to invest in education.

Charles Baillie grew up in Orillia, Ontario, and attended Trinity College at the University of Toronto, where he studied Honours Political Science and Economics. He graduated with a BA in 1962 and then moved on to Harvard for graduate studies. Mr. Baillie's ties with ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ are strong: all four of his children are ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ graduates and he has established a Baillie Family Chair in Conservation Biology.
