The Sunday Supper Series is a ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Shift Project initiative.
The Sunday Supper Series is a monthly initiative that aims to encourage open dialogue in a safe space and address the experiences of students, specifically equity-deserving students, on Queen’s campus.
The topics are informed by the results of the Shift Survey. Each event features a free meal, music and meaningful conversation.
This Sunday Supper Series event is open to all students. This month is a collaboration between the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Shift Project and BIPoC Talk.
Join us for a free meal, music and an opportunity to unpack Audre Lorde's Uses of Anger to reflect on our own roles in challenging racism.
In this peer led session, you will:
- discuss Audre Lorde's 'Uses of Anger' and other excerpts from Sister Outsider.
- unpack how to show up to dialogue about racism and intersectionality, without centering oneself, so that we can organize for positive change.
- learn about the difference between anger and hate.
Location will be shared upon registration.
