Mohammad has been my TA for two biomechanics courses - courses that are quite challenging and the concepts may take a while to understand. He creates a welcoming environment for students to reinforce their learning for the entire class. He facilitates a calm environment that alleviates any stresses or concerns that anyone may have. He consistently runs office hours where he encourages students to come by to work on and learn about the current topics and projects. He will take time out of his day to allow office hours to run longer than normal just so that everyone has the ability to learn. I can't think of a TA who has done this more than Mohammad, and so consistently across each class he TAs. When we come to him just before an assignment, he showcases his feelings of understanding that we may have had other commitments and what's important is working on the assignment in the present.
Mohammad creates a general feeling for everyone that they can come to him for help and he will do his best to not only guide us, but will do everything in his power to help alleviate our stressors and worries to facilitate everyone attaining their goal within the class. Thinking back to these challenging courses that I took, I genuinely can't think of a more stress-relieving component than that of Mohammad's heart-warming contributions to the learning environment created by Queen's. He is a TA who takes initiative and generates countless opportunities for anyone to learn and succeed in the learning environment.

Good mental health is not just the absence of mental health problems but also the presence of positive characteristics. Maintaining positive mental health is vital at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. It's important to recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health and deserves the same quality of support and care.
I always try to be ready to listen and help students find support when they need it. I want to make sure that students at my school are doing well, not just in class, but in life as well. It's essential to remember that student mental health is a dynamic and ongoing process. It's not just about interventions when a student is struggling, but also about proactive measures to build resilience and promote well-being.
