The Art and Wastes in Panniqtuuq opening celebration will take place 6-8 pm Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
The exhibition includes over sixty works of art by Inuit artists Jupa Ishulutaq, Annie Kilabuk/Kawtysie Kakee. David Kilabuk, Talia Metug, Oleepika Nashalik, Malaya Pitsiulak Madeleine Quimauqtug and Ph.D. Candidate micky renders. Their work animates the issues of wastes and colonization in Inuit Nunangat.
It is open October 23rd-November 3rd, 10am-4pm, Monday to Saturday.

This event is for all students, with a special focus on Indigenous students. We would encourage Indigenous students and community members who want to participate in the Environmental Racism is Garbage - Talking and Listening Circle or the Living Traditions art workshop with sealskin to contact micky.renders@queensu.ca.
