Statement against antisemitism at Queen's
This past week has been a very difficult one for Jewish community members. South of the border, antisemitic hatred has been given a platform by public personalities, and that has had a chilling effect across the country and the world.
Five FAS students recognized globally for undergraduate work
Two Faculty of Arts and Science students were named Regional Winners and three FAS students were earned Highly Commended honours at this year’s Global Undergraduate Awards. The Undergraduate Awards Global Summit is the world’s leading academic awards program which recognizes top undergraduate work and shares this work with a global audience.
A salute to the past, and optimism for the future
The Queen’s University Industrial Relations Centre (IRC) celebrated 85 years of success last week, using the event to reflect on the early days of the Centre and start planning for the future. Now housed within the Faculty of Arts and Science, the IRC was created to provide challenging and innovative educational programs to advance the skills and expertise of organizational leaders through training and practitioner-focused research, enabling them to contribute to the success of their organizations.
On the path to understanding
With funding provided by TD Friends of the Environment and support from the Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na Culture and Language Centre in Tyendinaga, the Office of Indigenous Initiatives at Queen’s University and in partnership with the Kingston Indigenous Language Nest (KILN), the Queen’s University Biological Station (QUBS) has created four multi-lingual interpretative signs and five trail app stations reflecting local Indigenous cultural heritage.
