FAS provides support for students attending WISE

The Faculty of Arts and Science has subsidized the attendance fee of 25 students attending the 10th annual Women in Science and Engineering Conference: Above and Beyond. The funding will come from the Faculty’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigenization Fund.

The Faculty of Engineering is also providing funding for 25 students to attend the conference.

“Diversity drives discovery. Inclusion fosters innovation,” says Dr. Elliot Chapple, Director - Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Indigenization (EDII), Faculty of Arts & Science. “We each have only a part of the puzzle. Working together with people who bring many different perspectives allows us to ask more interesting questions and develop better solutions. We are proud to support our students to attend this conference.”
