Established by Margaret Crain in memory of Irene MacAllister MacRae, B.A. 1914, who was vice-president of the Mathematics Club while at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. Irene was one of the first two women to graduate from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ in honours mathematics and physics. She was active on the executive of the YWCA during her years at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. Her five children graduated from ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ as did several of her grand and great grandchildren.
