I am considering pursuing a Master’s of Architecture upon finishing my undergraduate degree. I am also exploring other options. My volunteer work at Queen’s has also prompted me to consider whether, rather than a design-based career, I would like to be somehow involved in facilitating cross-cultural connections and understanding.
Without my scholarship, I would have had to concentrate on finding the quickest path to employment, to minimize the years spent in debt repayment. Instead, I am able to explore paths that may, potentially, include graduate studies. Financial support has enabled me to pursue my interests, which would have been beyond my reach, otherwise, and has introduced me to new experiences that have immeasurably enriched me. I hope someday to pay it forward.
